Nicole acts as an RTO Consultant for Safety Wise
Solutions and will advise on the Australian
Quality Training Framework (AQTF) Registered
Training Organisation requirements.
Nicole started as an Occupational Therapist
treating work injured personnel before moving to
focus on preventive programs and active safety
management. Nicole has a Bachelor's Degree in
Applied Science – Occupational Therapy and a
Masters degree in Occupational Safety and
Health. She holds a certificate 4 in Training
and Assessment.
Nicole held several positions providing
development and auditing services to the medical
and education sectors. She has provided
consultant occupational health and safety and
training services to a range of industries
including mining, automotive, construction and
telecommunications.
Nicole assisted in the development and
implementation of the Australian Army Aviation
risk management model. She then worked at Civil
Aviation Safety Authority as a safety promotions
specialist where she developed the Systems of
Safety Management and delivered workshops in its
application to general aviation.
Nicole lectured at Edith Cowan University in
Occupational Safety and Health at undergraduate
and postgraduate level. She has published
several papers and has conducted workshops and
seminars across Australia, in Canada and the UK.
She
has developed extensive knowledge / experience
in the following areas:

Application of behavioural sciences, systems of
safety management and human factors principles

facilitating workshops for safety management
application
- Designing and implementing safety programs
- Compliance and surveillance activities
including system and risk audits
- Incident investigations
- Developing, implementing and assessing
regulations
- Integrated Management Systems training
- Risk assessments for remediation activities
conducted in hazardous environments
